PROTECT THE FINISH YOU HAVE
Paint protection film—also called PPF or clear bra—is a transparent polyurethane film fitted to your vehicle’s exterior. It takes the first contact from many small impacts and surface scuffs that would otherwise reach the paint.
Unlike a liquid coating, film adds a physical layer. It is especially useful on exposed front panels, where loose grit and road debris can leave chips. The right coverage depends on your driving routes, vehicle shape and budget.
PPF reduces risk; it does not make a vehicle damage-proof. A strong impact can still penetrate the film, and existing paint damage needs assessment before installation.
Protect vulnerable painted areas from everyday debris on Toronto roads and highway trips along the Gardiner, DVP or 401.
Film provides a replaceable surface for minor abrasion. Self-healing performance varies by product and applies to eligible surface marks, not torn film or deep cuts.
Clear gloss film maintains a glossy appearance. Matte and satin options offer a different finish; ask us to confirm available products and suitability for your paint.
Keeping the original finish in good condition can reduce the need for cosmetic paintwork. Regular washing and timely film inspections remain part of ownership.
MATCH THE FILM TO YOUR DRIVING
Start with the front bumper and mirrors, then ask about specific areas that show wear. Door cups, loading edges and lower panels may benefit from custom coverage.
Full-front coverage protects the complete hood and front fenders as well as the bumper and mirrors. Ask about rocker panels if road spray and grit regularly reach the sides.
Covering suitable painted panels across the vehicle offers broader protection. A new car still needs inspection and surface preparation before the film is fitted.
Partial hood coverage leaves a film boundary across the panel. Full-panel coverage moves that boundary toward the panel edge. We explain visible edges, seams and practical wrapping limits before installation.
FROM FIRST INSPECTION TO FINAL CHECK
A careful installation begins with the surface underneath. We agree on coverage and preparation before fitting the film, then check the finish and explain how to care for it.
Review the paint, previous repairs and existing damage. Confirm the film, panel list, finish and written quote.
Wash and decontaminate the panels. Complete any agreed paint correction before film application.
Position vehicle-specific film patterns, work around contours and finish the edges where the panel design allows.
Check clarity, alignment and edges as the film begins curing. Provide product-specific washing and maintenance instructions.

TWO COMPLEMENTARY TYPES OF PROTECTION
Choose protection around what you want it to do. PPF is the physical barrier for road impacts; ceramic coating supports gloss, water repellency and easier routine cleaning.
| Your priority | Paint protection film | Ceramic coating |
|---|---|---|
| Stone chips | Physical film helps absorb smaller impacts. | Does not provide stone-chip protection. |
| Light surface marks | Some films can self-heal eligible surface marks. | Careful washing is needed to avoid swirls. |
| Cleaning & water behaviour | Depends on the film’s topcoat and maintenance. | Helps water release and grime wash away. |
| Coverage | Specific panels, full front or full vehicle. | Compatible painted and other exterior surfaces. |
| Using both | A compatible coating can be applied over PPF after the film is ready, following both manufacturers’ instructions. | |

PRODUCT DETAILS MATTER
Film brands offer different finishes, topcoats and warranty terms. We confirm the available brand and product series before installation so you know exactly what is being fitted to your vehicle.
Options to discuss include Verleno, CARPRO and Ceramic Pro KAVACA film systems. A brand name alone does not establish a warranty length: the installed series, registration, approved use and care requirements all matter.
Read the manufacturers’ product information for KAVACA automotive films and CARPRO PPF. We will confirm the specific product and written warranty with your quote.
AFTER YOUR INSTALLATION
Follow your installer’s initial curing and washing guidance. Ask about any haze, moisture pockets or lifting edges instead of trying to adjust the film yourself.
Use products approved for your film. Remove insects and bird droppings promptly, and keep high-pressure water away from exposed edges.
Retain the product details, invoice and warranty documents. Contact us if a panel needs repair, repainting or film replacement.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
Our basic PPF package starts at $500 CAD. Partial-front coverage starts at $700 and full-front coverage at $800. Full-vehicle PPF needs a custom quote. The vehicle, selected film, panel complexity and preparation affect the final price.
PPF can be useful when you want to protect a new finish from chips and daily wear, particularly on exposed front panels. The value depends on where you drive, how long you expect to keep the car and the coverage you choose. We inspect new paint too.
No. Film does not repair the paint underneath. Existing chips, scratches or previous repairs should be assessed first. Any recommended correction or touch-up work is discussed before installation.
No. Self-healing depends on the product and the type of surface mark. Some films use heat-assisted topcoats, while other products are designed to recover at lower temperatures. Deep cuts, punctures and damage through the film require assessment.
Service life varies with the film, exposure, installation and aftercare. Ask for the warranty for the exact product being fitted and its maintenance requirements. Inspect the film over time; a warranty does not mean the surface cannot wear or be damaged.
Yes, when the coating is compatible with the film. The film must be ready for coating according to the manufacturers’ instructions. This combination adds easier-cleaning properties while retaining the film’s physical protection.
Removal depends on the paint’s condition and the method used. Healthy factory paint and repainted or compromised surfaces can respond differently. Tell us about previous paintwork and arrange professional assessment rather than peeling old film yourself.
Timing depends on coverage, body complexity and preparation. Full-vehicle work needs more installation time than a bumper package. We confirm the appointment and expected collection time after reviewing your vehicle and selected panels.
